In the U.S. already since October 2019 and now also in the UK in Germany: Facebook starts with quality journalism on its social media platform and introduces the feature “Facebook News”. Facebook is currently cooperating with 35 publishers and over 100 media brands. This includes, among others, the Axel Springer media group. Media companies are paid to link to new content that has not yet been seen on the platform. These include personalized content, but also traditional sections such as business, entertainment and sports.
